How do you lead effectively in a world of constant change and ambiguity?
Complexity, ambiguity, continuous change and need for transformation is our everyday reality.
More and more we understand that complexity is not just the nature of our environment and an external force that challenges our capacity to adapt, it is also the nature of our internal functioning as a system. Organisations are complex, adaptive living systems, and as such, they are calling for us to shift the way we think, make decisions and act in our effort to sustain our business success.
The “Navigating Complexity & Ambiguity” workshop will help us gain a deeper understanding of the specific requirements that leading through complexity places on us as managers and leaders, as organisational development professionals, and develop the toolbox – mindset, skills and tools to help us navigate these challenges effectively.
We will learn the difference between complicated and complex and why this distinction is so important. We will explore how our ways of thinking, our relationship to knowledge and learning, and our perception of the efficiency of collaboration need to change.
We will learn to address challenges by taking a systemic approach, applying systems thinking and practicing participatory leadership. We will practice being in not knowing, observing problems together, recognizing patterns, thinking together, creating meaning (collaborative sense-making), and making decisions together.
We will learn methods and tools that will help us develop agility – both personal and organizational – in a practical and empowering way.
