Working cross cultures involves becoming aware of both your own and others’ unique diversity, with all their potential and passions, and to be able to successfully draw out and integrate the best of both sides. Individuals from different cultures tend to have different preferences. The key is not in classifying cultures as ‘this’ or ‘that’, but in learning how to bridge these differences. A person’s strength comes from the capacity to reconcile contrasting cross-cultural values.
When your self-knowledge is clear and your authentic self is strong, you have confidence in meeting new people and situations in an open and flexible way. It is then easy to open the door to new ways of solving cultural differences and finding solutions in a mutually positive manner. The ability to respect other ways of seeing and doing things greatly enhances the success and far-ranging effects of any cross-cultural business project.
This workshop will help you define what culture is, exchange personal experiences regarding cultural diversity, provide a framework to diagnose cultural differences and encourage sharing of approaches to successfully deal with culture.
